Summertime is a fantastic time to drink nannari syrup since it has a cooling effect. It tastes better than any other root beer when added to soda. The syrup can be added to warm milk as a spice, or the roots can be brewed into tea. It tastes wonderful when heated.

WHAT IS NANNARI?
Nannari in english is called as Indian sarsaparilla. Another scientific name is Hemidesmus indicus. most widely used in parts of South India. Tamilnadu being the famous for Nongu sharbat aka ice apple drink.
MEDICINAL BENEFITS :
The medical properties of Nannari’s roots include blood purification, relief from acidity and constipation and both. Additionally, it works well for rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, anemia, urinary issues, and inflammations of the liver and spleen.
METHOD TO PREPARE AN AMAZING DRINK:
First, get a juice shaker. Take a glass of normal water. Add chilled nannari syrup to it. As it is already sweetened we wont require any sugar. splash the lemon juice. Shake well and pour it into the serving glass.
The best part of nannari is to have it with Ice apple (nongu). In our native we call it nongu sharbat which is very popular among any of the corner stalls. the ice apple should be tender, juicy and jelly.
Add desired amount to the juice. place a fresh basil on top. get that tropical vibe and enjoy!
