Pros and cons of Dishwasher | Bosch Dishwasher review

I am writing this article after six months of using my
Bosch 14 place setting dishwasher.

This is an unusual review in which I have not only spoken about the product but also what comes behind it; hence I ask that you read the entire article patiently.

1. A few words about how I decided to bring home a dishwasher:

Myself, my daughter, and my husband make up a three-person family. So, for such a small family, a dishwasher with 12 to 14 place settings will suffice. It has been my dream to invest in a dishwasher since the day i got married. But every time I decided to visit the appliance mart, I would end up holding my decision, thinking how this dishwasher is going to be functional in an Indian household, especially a South Indian kitchen. 

So during my initial days i was travelling for work, it was only me and my husband back then and there was not much any work at home with dishes. Later after we had a baby, I appointed a domestic helper who took care of the kitchen and cleaning part of the house. Soon, when my baby became a preschooler, i had maids only for doing dishes & cleaning floors. I never experienced any difficulties with household or kitchen work. It was only when we shifted to a new place did i realize the worth of depending on myself for things related to homemaking. The stress of depending on maids brought chaos in my family. It is only then did i stepped into my own shoes and decided that i would never appoint any maids until the situation is really urgent. 

Trust me, homemaking became less stressful in terms of mental health. Physically, of course, it is tiring, but remember that in life, if you are mentally prepared, your body will automatically cooperate with your decision.

Doing dishes alone is not the job when it comes to dishwasher. There are certain important things when it comes to dishwashers. Like..

Manual Effort that goes into dishwashing :-

1. There might be dishes that need hand washing.
2. Cleaning the kitchen countertop and wall tiles.
3. Cleaning the gas stove and microwave oven.
4. Washing the sink.
5. Segregating & disposing of wet trash and greasy items accordingly.
6. Loading the dried utensil from the dishwasher back to where it belongs.
7. Loading the dishwasher with soiled utensils. (As it takes time to arrange things properly  into the dishwasher.)

1. Uninterrupted high speed water supply.
2. Uninterrupted power supply as well.
3. Energy efficient and noiseless.
4. More number of cycle option better amount of time saved.
5. More the capacity better loading time.
6. Automatic programmed and sensor technology.

Given these considerations, it would take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on your speed and strength, as well as the type of utensils you have invested in. So there are some simple habits that we can develop on a regular basis to reduce the time spent doing the dishes.

5. What is the mode of cleaning agents required for a dishwasher.

There are basically two types..

1. The pods :

Salt, detergent, and sparkling gel are premeasured and loaded into a single tablet pod. Pre-measured powder tablets for dishwasher detergent provide the exact amount of detergent required in the form of a tablet or brick. The tablet contains a secret dishwashing agent known as the power ball agent. The power ball agent acts as a rinse aid for your dishes, leaving little to no residue.

2. The liquid detergent :

Liquid gel dishwasher detergent is an option for those who prefer to control the amount of dishwashing detergent they use. A liquid gel is a gentler dishwashing detergent because it is water-based in addition to being controlled in quantity. BUt the trouble here is we got to load everything individually.

3. The Gel packs :

Dishwasher gel packs contain pre-measured liquid dishwasher detergent in a quick-dissolving pod. Due to the pods’ pre-measured nature, they are easy to use. However, dishwasher pods can be more costly than liquid and/or tabs. It’s worth noting that not all dishwashing detergent brands come in pack formation.

I prefer Finish powerball quantum tablets. They work best for my Bosch dishwasher. They have salt, detergent and gel compressed and premeasured in a tablet form. For loading the dishwasher all at once i use one tablet a day and i also run the machine once a day.

6. How much power is consumed in dishwasher?

It have’nt really affected my pocket much. it is just 0.5x times a little extra from the generally amount we pay for our power usage. I mean that is ok for me because mentally i feel really relieved. although there is certain amount that is followed behind the dishwasher but still there are major facts that is being solved.
